DIRECTOR OF SALES DEVELOPMENT
A result driven sales- and process manager
As a Director of Sales Development, you are the driver of all new EMEA Sales Development initiatives, Technical Sales and Inside Sales activities. You are responsible for achieving and exceeding the quarterly- and annual sales and Inside Sales leads quota on Technical Services, Seminars/Trainings. Besides that, the department needs to provide sales operations support in funnel management, sales channel process improvements, as well as work closely with the central EMEA marketing organization as well as providing technical feedback to the Business Units in HQ Everett, US.
One of your key objectives in this role will be to transition and develop the current organization from a Technical Support to a Technical & Insides Sales and ultimately to a Solution Sales & Support center.
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You take part of developing new revenue streams is to develop and market Service concepts and sell Service as a product across EMEA – You manage a team of regional Technical Sales Managers and central Field Application Engineers for the EMEA region, as well as the Insides Sales department, sales & marketing operations support roles, and a technical support department – You set clear goals and objectives for each member, ensuring maximization of individual skills and potential – You implement, monitor and improve end-user seminars, road shows and direct end-customers calling on Fluke product/applications to generate sales – You monitor regulation and EU guidelines that can grow or impact our business – You create new sales opportunities, new channels and new services to improve revenue across EMEA – You implement, monitor and improve VAR channel partner strategy for Seminars and Trainings and certification, including such things as the Platinum VAR program – You continuously review new sales opportunities in the region and actively manages to find new business opportunities – You plan, support and execute effective product introduction-seminars and benchmark trainings in cooperation with Marketing – You work closely with regional and central marketing & sales organizations in a matrix organization – You provide frequent reports on competition, training revenue forecast, costs, inside sales revenue, opportunities generated by Inside Sales – You support the Electrical Wholesale Shop visibility program – You implement and manage rich data requirements for distribution channels in Europe, e.g. ETIM for Electrical Wholesalers and scrums for High Service Multichannels – You provide technical after sales support in EU28 – You provide sales operations support: Rich data content, funnel management reports and analytics
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum of 10 years relevant (technical) sales experience. Experienced in indirect as well as direct sales – A MBA education or equivalent – You have experience in leading (matrix) teams for a period of minimum 7 years in a multi-cultural international environment – You have Strong leadership skills and experience in driving organizational change processes – You are analytical, commercial and have computer skills such as Excel, Sharepoint, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com – You have understanding of electronics – You have experience with FBS/Lean operation principles of continuous improvement is preferred – You are fluent in English is required, additional language skills are a plus – You have strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to use them at several organizational levels – You are flexible and able and willing to travel within the EMEA region (about 50% of your time.
